This Christmas season we challenged ourselves to the real spirit of giving -not just exchanging- We found out about a christian organization called http://www.worldvision.org/ that helps people world wide to reach their full potential by fighting the causes of poverty and injustice. We set a goal of raising $2,000 in order to buy 28 productive farm animals for families living in third world countries. We invited friends and family to come together and help us achieve our goal, and at first things went slowly but every week our collection of money grew. One day we were praying at lunch for God to bless our project and that day we received $300 in the mail!
Yesterday at church, we were so surprised to find out that our church is going to cover the difference in order to reach our total!!! What a blessing! It has been so neat to see the Lord work. I can't wait to bless these people and to share God's love with them!
